Structure :
Introduction/context: introduction setting the contest of the topic (e.g. definitions, previous research on the topic/literature review, why it is important)
Literature review: overview of previous research on the topic, highlighting the gaps which this research fill and its important
Research Hypothesis/Aims: what you wanted to find out (questions/hypothesis)
Methodology: what research instruments you used and why they were appropriate to achieve your aims
Results/Findings: presenting the results of your research – try to highlight trends/patterns (you may wish to use graphs or charts here, but you should explain to the reader what they show)
Discussion: Results are discussed in the context of previous research, e.g. previous findings which your research supports/contradicts, attempts to explain why particular trends/patterns occurred, with reference to previous research/ theories on the topic.
Conclusions:
– Limitations of the research.
– Reiterating key findings and their significance.
– Recommendations: where from here? Suggesting further research that could build on what you have done / discussing the implications of the findings.
