US Religion

Topic:
Looking ahead 50 years, predict the state of US religion. Do you think that religion will differ from how it is today? Or will it be similar? Consider factors such as immigration, education, the “graying of America,” the state of the economy, and social class.

When answering this question, look at how our age, race, gender, economic class, and other demographic factors affect our religiosity. Which groups are most likely to be religious? Why? Which groups are most likely to show low levels of religiosity? Why? How does religion shape our attitudes toward the family, education, and government? When writing your essay, be sure to add material from sources other than class material. Research and support your arguments with information gathered in your research.
