Over the past eight weeks we have seen many examples of interaction connecting different parts of the world. Identify 5 specific instances of interaction and exchange that we have seen taking place between civilizations and discuss them as positive steps in the development of a more globalized world. Think of processes and practices like: trade; religious doctrines; movement of texts; political conquest; artistic movements; philosophical doctrines; scientific knowledge; technology. In each element of exchange, what does each civilization gain? What kinds of changes do you see in the civilizations themselves and in the elements of exchange? Successful answers will focus on a variety of regions and types of interaction.
