Personal request: try to analyse the failure or changes of bakufu by using the interlock of Nation, States and Capitalism. they represent different mode of exchanges.
Nation: nationalism
States : Plunder, core plunders peripherals
Capitalism: buy and sell
Analysing by explaining the mode of exchange when writing. ex: commodities
the status of classes shifted around 1750 due to growing market as the result of surplus agricultre.
Merchants status go up and shogun’s down, so that shoguns were unhappy and initated nationlism movement.
Meanwhile, please compare with the contemporaneous world economy system. Another thing to mention is that the impacts of US’s invasion in 19 centuries result in anti
bakufu movement and revolution.
