You have studied theme, interpretation, symbols, and metaphors. Using this knowledge, relate Hemmingway’s story to a real or fictional situation in your own life. You may want to tell about a challenge that you saw through, or would be willing to see through, to the end regardless of the outcome. Explain events leading up to the challenge and the result as well. You may instead wish to tell about a challenge that you gave up on, or would give up on at some point, because of the probable outcome.
