There are numerous examples of potentially illegal practices featured in the film. These practices may include actions, affirmative statements, omissions and/or schemes. Some of the practices may constitute misrepresentation/fraud, as discussed in class and in Chapter 11 of the textbook.
Analyze one such practice from a legal perspective and determine whether the victims would prevail against the perpetrators in a court of law. First, identify the potentially illegal practice, including a brief description of the parties involved and how the practice worked. Then, identify the rule(s) of law from Chapter 11 that the practice might violate, defining the rule(s) and its elements. Finally, apply the law to the facts and analyze whether the victims would be likely to win in a court of law.
