Preparation:  First, read the web page excerpt “Choose Responsibility” (located under the Resources tab on Oncourse alongside the articles). Next, read or reread the article “The Effects of Minimum Legal Drinking Age 21 Laws on Alcohol-Related Driving in the United States.”

Your Assignment:

In no fewer than 750 but no more than 1,200 words, determine whether the legal drinking age in the United States should change or should remain the same, and explain why. In your argument, you must cite each of the assigned readings noted in the “Preparation” section at least once. You might consider strengthening your argument with concepts from the class lectures on alcohol and harm reduction.
