present three main support points for the thesis and provide several details that elaborate on each support point;
present two to three declarative sentences that indicate how you will conclude the essay; and
include a list of the reference(s) you plan to use, in APA format.
Write an illustration essay about stereotypes as they are portrayed on television.

Create an introduction with a thesis statement that can be supported with examples and that makes a point about this topic. Develop body paragraphs that present detailed examples that support, or illustrate, the thesis. Create an effective conclusion.

Some questions to help generate ideas for your essay:

How are teenagers stereotyped on TV? What does this say about how the viewing public’s opinion of teenagers?
How are business people stereotyped on TV? How do you suppose this means average viewers perceive business?
How are mothers or fathers stereotyped on TV? What does this reflect about our culture?
Write a persuasive essay about the influence television has on children (this can be a positive influence or a negative influence).

Create an introduction with a thesis statement that explains where you stand in regard to television and children. Develop body paragraphs that reveal and discuss different aspects of the positive or negative influences television may or may not have on children. Create an effective conclusion.

Does television impact the way children interact?
What are the advantages and disadvantages of allowing children to watch television?
Why do some people prohibit children from viewing particular shows?
What does television babysitting mean to you? Is it true?
