Write an individual report that critically reviews of the research seminar presentations (School of Science and the Environment) that you have attended during the unit.
Your report should address the following:
? Set the broader context of the research presented, including reference to current debates and relevant academic literature by writing a short literature review
? Evaluate the research presented, including reference to different methodological approaches adopted by contemporary research in this particular area and also the style of the presentation

The assessment criteria against which your work will be marked are:
? fulfilment of the requirements of the assignment task, see above
(including adherence to the word limit);
? evidence of in-depth and critical reading around the subject (far exceeding sources and texts made available during the research seminar and follow up tutor-led seminar), with correct and complete citation and referencing of sources;
? appropriate scope and evidence of understanding of key theories and / paradigms as well as factual information;
? evidence of critical thinking and appraisal;
? appropriate illustration of comparative research related to the specific topic investigated in the research seminar (in writing and using figures and tables where appropriate).
