A large piano that weighs 4100 N is to be moved into a house by way of an opening that is 1.5 m from the ground. If the movers use an18 m plank as an incline and a force of 600 N, what is the ideal mechanical advantage?

A cart is to be launched along a track that sits on top of a 65 cm high table. Suppose the velocity of the cart is 6.3 m/s . The track is 1.5 m long and can have an incline adjusted from 0 to 15 degrees as shown in the figure above. Calculate:

(a) The range of the cart if it is launched when the track incline is 0 degrees.

(b) The range of the cart if the track is inclined at 15 degrees above the horizontal
