Solution-Explain the diffusion of the iodine gas

1) Solid iodine crystals at the bottom of a closed test tube sublime to form iodine vapor. The vapor eventually fills the entire test tube. Use kinetic molecular theory to explain the diffusion of the iodine gas and whether diffusion happens in liquids and solids.

2) Wax, C25H52, is extremely soft and malleable, while table salt, NaCl, is very brittle. Explain why this is so in terms of structure and/or bond types.
