As humans age there are a large number of diseases that overpower this human body. The reason behind this being not only the decrease in the strength and the stamina of the body but also immunity lessens with age. Moreover slowly the basic organs also start to function slowly following which the individual becomes a victim to a host of diseases. One chronic and very common disease that occurs in older life is Heart Disease. There are various diseases that are related to heart that can occur as we age and they are primarily because the heart vessels reduce their capability to pump blood to the heart. This is the primary cause of a large number of deaths in US apart from several other countries as well. In this medical condition, fatty acid start to form the lining of blood vessels thereby blocking the circulation of blood to the heart and arteries become more rigid.
If we look deeply into the details of this disease we will find that there are high risk factors which are associated with this disease and if proper care is not taken over it, the condition can worsen at a very early stage. These risk factors include those pertaining to genetic inheritance or if a diet that is high in fats is consumed or high blood pressure. Even lack of exercise, use of tobacco and poorly managed stress can also be the reasons for heart attacks in older people. Because of all these reasons there can be slow build up of plague around the cells in the body which may lead to the lining of the b blood vessels.
