Global reward systems
A research study on this subject could explore the nature and variance of reward and compensation systems and policies in a country of your choice. What factors do HR reward specialists need to consider in designing a reward policy which has to operate across a multi-national corporation?
The following provide some more detailed information to help you understand what you need to consider when writing your assignment. Some important factors to consider are:
• Use a wide range of reference materials; Text books and especially journal articles;
• Avoid just using the core text book as your main reference source;
• Make sure you provide examples from an organisation known to you to apply the theory or models;
• Draw on your own organisational experiences;
• Be critical of the theory and ideas, have your own opinions;
• Avoid just describing the theory, make sure you develop an argument;
• Use critical analysis throughout your work.
• Your objectives are rather lost in the discussion so it was not entirely clear what you are intending to research;
• I think there were 4 objectives but I suggest you use bullet points to set out each objective;
• When you have written clearer objectives then think about how you will provide the evidence you have achieved them?
• If this is based on Wal-Mart then you will need to consider a question that asks can you design a reward system that is appropriate to both countries.
• You reference section was very limited I would have expected around 10 to 15 references;
• Nothing here about how national culture might impact on the design of the reward systems;
• What about non-financial rewards;
• Be sure to apply a good level of critical analysis to the research so that you are questioning and evaluation the research and literature you use in the study.
