4. Evaluation Criteria (Rubrics) – Term Paper
The term paper is worth 20% of the final grade. The length is around 5000 words (scientific references not included). Essay submission is electronic and will be checked for plagiarism.
An essay highlighting the underpinning physiological and/or mental aspects of one recovery strategy. The recovery choice could be pre, during or post training

Organization Cover page, Context, Introduction, Objective, Literature review (core text), Discussion and Conclusion appeared in the right order.
The core text is well structured and paragraphs are linked. References, Tables, Illustrations and appendix (if any) are used where needed.
General Scientific background
The term paper is based on scientific literature strictly (review). The context should be set from the start followed by the objective of the review. Few questions could be asked at the end of the introduction, leading the way to the concepts to be developed in the core text.
Literature review is comprehensive and appropriate for the given context.

Writing Mechanisms
The paper flows well, contains subsections and well-developed paragraphs that use topic sentences and transitions. Sentence structure and word choice is clear and concise, with appropriate use of standard English language for academic writing. The term paper is free of spelling, grammatical and other styles errors. The APA referencing style should be used. Consequent reference list is well presented with no mistakes in the in-text citation and the reference list.
Presentation of key literature / concepts The underpinning scientific concepts behind the chosen topics are clear, concise and justified with relevant sources (mainly articles and books). This should be the core of the essay. The concepts feed into the aim of the chosen topic.
Discussion Important part of the essay.
The scientific underpinning concepts are discussed (either emphasized or contradicted) using relevant resources (articles and books). The student’s opinion could be included if well justified and argued with relevant examples.
Conclusion The conclusion should answer the objective set at the introduction. It summarises the key concepts developed within the core text.
