You will be asked to write the best essay you can in the time you have available.  The essay should be argumentative, as you will be asked to take a position on one of those issues (you will only write about one of the topics I provide).  Since you will not have access to research, you will need to use your own personal experiences and the experiences of friends and fellow students to support your arguments.  You will also be able to put forward hypothetical examples as well.  The paper should be handwritten in MLA format, which means double-spaced on the paper.  Many have asked me for a page length to shoot for, but differences in size and style of handwriting make that a pointless thing to answer.  I will say that if your essay is organized into five paragraphs: and introduction, conclusion and three body paragraphs with one argument per paragraph, you would be on the right track.
