When are you going to start recruiting and who is responsible for the recruitment of the employees? You need to come up with a selection procedure.

Important information to take into consideration is :
o The recruitment of the management team should already start in Module 2 .
o The module coordinators of TIO and OP2 will be involved in the recruitment of the management team and staff support.
o The fieldtrip will take place in module 4.

Bearing this information in mind, think about a time plan concerning the selection procedure. When is the right time to start with the publication of the advertisements? What is the deadline for applications? By when do you need to have all positions filled? It is also important to think about the people who are involved in the selection procedure. Will there be a selection committee available fore the recruitment of the management team and the support staff? Who is going to recruit the other positions in your organization?
What information do you need to get from the people who apply for the jobs? What questions are important to think about?

These are just a few questions you have to think about when creating the selection procedure. Your job is to write the selection procedure in relation to time planning, people involved in the selection and possible interview questions. It is necessary to justify your selection procedure with reasonable arguments.

Chief Operations Officer (COO):

Reporting to the company MD, the ultimate applicant will be responsible of carrying out and implementing operational instructions as set by the Managing Director (MD) and Board of Directors, and spearhead the implementation of diverse group operations. Applicants should hold MBA in Strategic Management, have worked in a comparable post for at least 3 years, and have the ability of working under pressure.

Head of Communication (HOC):

The HOC will be in charge of all company communication, including writing press releases and speech, scheduling CEOs interviews, promotion of special events, and giving interviews on behalf of the company. Interested candidates must be holders of a master’s degree in public speaking, communications, advertising or related areas. Essential course in this program must include public speaking, administration, marketing, and knowledge of various writing styles. The applicant should also have minimal 2-years knowledge in a comparable post.

Head of Marketing (HOM):

The HOM will be in charge of marketing plans, managing marketing suppliers, budget marketing, overseeing business development activities, managing marketing department, developing business components in line with company requirements, and administration and development of the company’s marketing database. Ideal candidate should hold a master’s degree in marketing, or related fields, and at least of 2-years practice as a marketing officer in a busy firm.

Team Manager (TM):

The TM will offer guidance and training to the organizational team, and harmonize the logistics of that team. Interested parties should be possessors of a degree, or higher diploma in human resources management. He/she should also have a minimum of 1-year knowledge in a related position in a busy organization.

Head of Food and Beverage (HFB):

HFB will provide food planning and kitchen personnel supervision. HFB should also uphold organizational labor, inventory, and costs standards. Ideal candidates must have a master’s degree in catering and five years experience in a busy hotel at a similar position.
