This assignment is based on the article “Main Schools of TQM: the Big Five” by Kr?ger (2001) and on the Deming’s 14 Points Video on Blackboard (the same video that we watched in class). Answer the following two questions:
Question 1: Select two of Deming’s 14 points that you think are well-accepted and well-applied at your organization (or an organization you’re familiar with). Which points are those? Describe in what way the quality programs at your organization reflect those points.
Question 2: Select two of Deming’s 14 points that you think are not applied and/or would probably be controversial at your organization (or an organization you’re familiar with). Which points are those? Describe in what way those points would be challenging to apply.
I expect a minimum of one page single-spaced and a maximum of two pages for both questions combined. Due to the nature of the assignment, it is advisable that you write two full pages if you aim at getting a good grade. Be aware that writing only one page is really a minimum and will (in all likelihood) only to get you a passing grade (at best).
In opening, write a short paragraph with the name of your organization and briefly describe its activity. If you don’t have any work experience, please mention it; you can use Boise State University as an organization or an organization you?re familiar with.
I will grade this assignment based on the rubric disclosed on page 2 of this document.
