According to the description of the Posada exhibit on the gallery website, Jose Guadalupe Posada “chronicled and satirized his society in street art that appealed to the public.” Likewise, the contemporary Latinx artists inspired by Posada “address the political and social issues of their time in graphic arts, installation, performance, and film.”
