Recommendation Letter

I am writing to recommend Mohammad Moiz, who is expressing his wish to join your family medicine residency program. Mohammad participated in an eight weeks Family Medicine and Addiction medicine elective program at the Jackson Park Hospital, where I was his Supervisor.

Mohammad is a very hard-working, energetic, meticulous and warm individual, who stands out throughout the hospital for his compassionate personality. He activelyparticipated in the outpatient clinic, where he attended both new and follow-up patients. After every patient encounter,he discussed the assessment, the plan of care, and he applied his knowledge for the medical management of the patient very effectively. In addition, he cared well for the patients assigned to him, and ensured all the work was done before the rounds. During the morning rounds, he actively participated in the case-discussions. Mohammad’s strengths lie invaluable. His work ethics in my clinic were excellent. He displayed high-level clinical knowledge, patient and staff rapport and professionalism. The most impressive of his traits was his knowledge in pharmacy. He would tell me the brand equivalent to generic, prescription, writing ability, dosages to drugs, and he could know which medications would be covered under the Medicaid. What is more impressive is Mohammad’s eight years of pharmacy experience and counting, while in medical school. This is something I have not seen in any medical student in my working career.

Mohammad is a mature individual, who handled himself well in the clinical environment. He is very personable and empathetic, which makes him an excellent medical student. I am very certain he will make an excellent physician. He demonstrated clinical knowledge, social skills, and charisma, which was evident as many of the hospitals’ staff ask about him by his name. The staff seemed very fond of him, and enjoyed his presence. I also found him very personable, with a great attitude, and a sense of humor. He worked well with his patients, colleagues, peers, ancillary personnel, and the entire medical team, maintaining high standards of ethics and morals. It was an absolute delight to work with him.

I thank you for your attention and receptive consideration of this eminently worthy and gentle young man. He is, in my opinion, a great fit for your residency program. I highly recommend him for your consideration. Please contact me through 00000 if you have any questions regarding Mohammad.
