Observe the voltage across resistor and capacitor on the oscilloscope. Find time constant mathematically i.e., RC, and see if it matches the value on the oscilloscope.
Time constant for RC circuit = R*C

Task 2: RL Circuits
Connect in series, a function generator, a resistor, and an inductor of suitable value. Generate square waves from the function generator. Observe the voltage across resistor and capacitor on the oscilloscope. Find time constant mathematically i.e., L/R, and see if it matches the value on the oscilloscope.
Time constant for RL circuit = L/R
