The contractor is closing out the project and preparing to hand the building over to the client you are representing. During the final commissioning process, the building inspector and engineer notice minor defects in the HVAC system while testing. How will you communicate these findings to the client and handle the defects? How will you interact with the contractor regarding these defects? How will this situation affect your approval of contractor payments and on the issuance of a final completion certificate?
