I am an English student with a lot of interest in the social matters, especially with friends all over the country. One of my best social media sites is the Pinterest that help people to connect to one another with images and videos, simply referred to as pins. I cannot underestimate the power of intuition that Pinterest generates into the writer’s mind when penning down a memoir. Pinterest theme, and the setting of the story. The first time I used the pin, I was writing a memoir of the first meeting with my beautiful girlfriend. It took me 30 minutes to know how the Pinterest works after reading the online manual, which was readily available. I posted her picture on the site, which I had taken at the place where we first met. Since our first meeting was in high school, the picture had a display of our former school with very beautiful flower gardens and resting benches.

Using Pinterest, I uploaded the photos, saved, sorted, and managed the images to bring out our story.  I also selected some pictures with my other friends and pinned them on the pin-board in a sequence that explained my entire story. Pinterest is a user-friendly site since it is very easy to use, and the pictures are always eye-catching to the users all over the world. The pin boards act as a story line that the readers can easily follow and understand the message that the owner wanted to give. Visual images are attractive, more interesting, and give the viewers a chance to get to know the world more. Writing memoirs on Pinterest differs from the traditional method of writing since the social site saves time to the writer and the other users as it takes a little time to login and download the information. One does not need o give a lengthy description of the pictures and images as they give clear descriptions of the location and the event of the shooting. With the other types of writing, where there is no use of pictures and images, one has to take a longer time to give the description in writing.

I selected the image Uniform Resource Locater and added them to the link box then I selected the image, placed it on the board, and continued with the process for the other images. It was very easy, interesting, and fulfilling, which made me feel that my memoir was effectively described and to the point.

However, the Pinterest does not say where the story ends if the writer leaves the narration at the picture stage. When I selected the pictures and quotes that relate to my story and added them to the pin board on my account, I assumed that my story was very clear to the viewers. To make it more understandable and reduce the suspense, I decided to add more text explaining some features on my board. For each image, I gave a brief description of the location and the event that occurred at the time of the capture, which made it easier for my online friends to understand. The absence of a narration is not a good reason for people viewing my profile to have suspense since the images and the pictures explain everything. The difference made by the narration is very small, and the images alone can tell the story.

The nature of Pinterest is not to complete the story but acts as stepping stone to attain the best writing skills. For instance, when I uploaded the picture on the pinboard accompanied by the quote, it created some suspense, and the readers yearned for more information about the events of my story. My inability to move the pins around the board almost interfered with my narrative, as it was not very clear to the readers.

To sum up, I must acknowledge the intuitiveness of Pinterest and its user friendliness, as it is easy to use and manage. One needs only to sign up for an account, which takes very little time to open and load the information. The process of navigating through the pictures is also very simple and interesting. Pinterest is a great site for writing memoirs without any strains to the user, as long as one has a good internet connection and an updated browser.
