PEOPLE IN FIRES: AN ANALYSIS OF HUMAN BEHAVIOUR IN FIRES WITH RECOMMENDATIONS
analyse the behaviour of people in fires and develop succinct recommendations for enhancing safety in buildings during fires. OBJECTIVES: 1. To understand the behaviour of people in fires 2. To define and understand what panic behaviour is and how it affects evacuation efforts 3. To investigate the role of media in influencing human behaviour in fire accidents 4. To evaluate various panic behaviours common in fire accidents with recommendations on how to reduce them and improve safety during fire incidents.
