Introduction
This peer assessment focuses on my contribution and that of the group, in Warman Project. The project was challenging throughout the stages, with limitations and success all realized inconsistently. The project was set to develop a device that will facilitate picking and placing of materials to assist a company with challenges in engineering systems.
Contribution
In a group project or assignment same contribution from every individual is the expectation (Belbin, 2011). It assists in developing team player skills as well as acknowledges areas of weaknesses to improve on. My contribution to this project actualized from the initial planning phase through physical sketching of the design, through to the construction and presentation stages. Individually I proposed the incorporation of pneumatic tubing system to assist in holding items strongly for transportation. The impact of this idea was to prevent the picked items from falling off during transportation. More so, I also assessed the feasibility of some concepts such as the extending arm for picking items, towards its contribution to the final design. Additionally, I contributed finances to fund major devices fro the project, as expectation of every group member.
Group concerns
According to (Belbin, 2011), a team project or work has to consider contribution of all the members as well as agree upon issues with consideration. More so, observe rules and roles for projects success. My concern with the group is the conflicting ideas in contribution leading to liabilities such as initial concepts failing acknowledgement hence implicating on the presentation of the final design.
In conclusion I believe that, future projects will have to adhere to personal contribution in terms of rotational roles hence derive mutual understanding of individual concerns
