Using at least one short story from the Alexie collection, you will incorporate all the elements of a traditional essay in a website or PowerPoint. You may use

wix.com, which is a free download, extremely user friendly, template based site builder program. http://www.wix.com/ . Or you may use any other program with which you

are familiar. Your site or your PowerPoint must include the following elements. Think of them as separate pages on your site or separate slides on the PowerPoint.
    Visuals/videos: Images which help to illustrate your argument, aspects of the author or other relevant points. Please refer to the two design resources I have

placed in this folder. I will definitely take your design choices into consideration.
    Description of the historical/cultural setting in which the essay takes place or to which the essay refers.
    The question/topic you are addressing and why it is important. I will repost the lecture notes so that you can see the critical reading considerations and

adapt for your own. Or you may develop a critical question of your own.
    Your answer to the question topic. This answer will be textual and should contain no fewer than two paragraphs with no fewer than 10 sentences each. You are

free to embed images in this textual discussion. Each paragraph should include a textual passage from the essay.
    A summary of the story you have selected. Again no fewer than two paragraphs.
    A list of resources (1 web and 1 print) from which an interested person could get more information. This list or bibliography will be cited according to MLA

conventions and must be annotated. In other words, after each listing, you will include at least two sentences which speak to the ethos of the source, why you chose it

and how it connects to the essay you are discussing.
