Panama Research

Panama Research before traveling to this country, each of you must complete research on the history of the country. It is a rich and very interesting history. Political, socio-economic, religious, geographic importance your research will uncover all these areas to some degree. So, what should your research report include? Here are some questions you may want to answer. What are the key resources available in Panama; what are the primary exports? The primary imports? While discussions of building a canal took place as early as the 16th century, it took centuries before the reality of a canal. What countries dominated the history of Panama before and after the canal? How did the U.S get involved? What happened to the area controlled by Columbia? Who are the indigenous people? What did the early planners fail to understand about this country when they thought they could build the canal? Beyond the canal, what are the important attributes of this country and region? Why are the Panamanians so in love with their country?
There are so many other subjects that you might focus on about Panama but you must complete your research, select the two or three areas that you believe are most important, and submit the research document prior to departing for this trip. Be sure to document the resources you use in completing your research and report. The research report should be no more than 6 pages in length
