present that information clearly and coherently so that each new piece builds on the preceding one to create a unified whole that supports the thesis

employ a formal style and objective tone

include correctly formatted parenthetical citations and a Works Cited List using MLA format

provide a concluding statement or section that follows from and supports the argument presented by your thesis and supported by the body of your essay
