Over the Counter Drugs usage and Implications

Over the counter drugs are also called over the counter medicine. They can be taken by

patients without any prescription (Kittredge, 2014). They include antacids, anti pain and cough

suppressants among others. Some are even used to prevent and cure diseases example tooth

aches. The use of OTC has more side effects than the advantages of its usage. They are more at

risk. Some of the side effects include diarrhea and constipation that are caused by frequent use of

the antacids. Thus all drugs should be regulated on their usage.
