(A) Read about NGOs (non-governmental organizations);
(B) Research and select an NGO that deals with a world problem such as war, violence, poverty, inequality, etc. (e.g. MADRE, Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, etc.).;
(C) Discuss the work of that NGO and the organization itself. This is most easily done by reporting on their purpose, goals, and mission, and objectives.
(D) Answer these questions:
(1) Do you think their agenda is a good one? Defend your answer, why or why not?
(2) Do you think their approach is feasible? Why or why not.
(3) Could government do a better job at pursuing this agenda? Explain why or why not.
