Occupational therapy and mobility of elderly people who have become too physically impaired to drive

Purpose: The purpose of this activity is to assist students in learning how to perform scholarly evidence-based research utilizing both PEER AND NON-PEER REVIEWED LITERATURE; (2) organize a research paper using APA 6th Ed.; (3)

write a scholarly paper that addresses the pros and cons of a technique, method, or model used in Occupational therapy; and(4)citing references both within text and on the reference page. I was wanting to discuss the rehab process of someone who can no longer drive due to age, and how the Occupational Therapist will assist the patient with rehabilitation and in coping with not being able to drive

My ideas for a thesis statement : Recent studies have shown that there have been an increase in motor vehicle accidents involving the elderly, and not being able to drive can negatively affect a persons mental and physical health. Occupational therapy can be very useful in the rehab process of an elderly person who has recently lost their drivers license.
