Assignment Description
You are an IT consultancy firm that is responsible for designing, implementing and configuring network systems. Your task is to design, implement and configure a working system consisting of a client and a server. The client machine is a Windows XP virtual machine (available from the CST Networking Labs or unit leader) and the server will be a Linux virtual machine. Your task is to implement a network using VMware Workstation to develop a Postfix mail system secured by an OSSEC HIDS. Some additional services must be configured. A brief description of the requirements is given below:

Your Linux server must be statically assigned an IP address in the segment 172.16.123.0/24

3 Task 3: OSSEC HIDS (Host-based Intrusion Detection System) configuration
Install and fully configure OSSEC HIDS (Host-based Intrusion Detection System) on you Linux box – see https://ossec.github.io/.

The system should be configured in such a way that local emails are sent to one of your Linux accounts (created in Block Task 2) every time an event is logged. Full evidence must be provided in order to achieve the maximum grade possible. .(CentOS 7 operating system)
