Mexican/Chican@ Labor organizing – historical or contemporary
There is evidence that Mexican citizens were segregated from many North American jobs. To cope with this, Mexicans developed a loyal and dependent community among Mexican Americans even though they were segregated from many North American jobs. Gilberts book offers explanations to interventions of the Mexican government. This includes Chicano history before the twentieth century and the struggles of many agricultural workers. Mexican workers developed a union and met at libraries to discussing how they could improve the community and better themselves as a community.
