The author, Taylor Branch, a Pulitzer Prize”winning author, uses his professional knowledge and resources from library of congress and his own publications to examine the lifecycle of the Civil Right Movement. This source is useful for my need since my focus is on the role of Martin Luther King Jr. in the movement. The publisher of the source is the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, a non-profit public charity, with no commercial use. This article does not have a reference list, but contains an introduction of the author. The source targets college students and historians.
