Legal Studies

You are responsible for writing two 2-page double-spaced (12-pt font, Times New Roman) response papers during the course of the semester. The papers should critique or assess the readings that are to be discussed in section (I.E. the readings that the professor discussed the previous week). Typically, a response paper will take one reading from the previous week, summarize it briefly in one short paragraph and then offer two or three critical assessments. Papers that simply summarize the selected reading will not receive more than a check. I want independent, critical thought!

The papers will be graded check, check-plus, check-minus, but the expectations for the essays are high. I would anticipate spending 4-7 hours on a single paper. Papers should be submitted.
