Your thesis MUST make a connection between the past and the present in terms of the aspect(s) of Jim Crow that you are going to be discussing. What conclusions can you come to about the progress (or lack of progress) that has been made since the official end of Jim Crow in 1964 in the area you are choosing to examine? What REFLECTIONS of Jim Crow do you see today or what evidence is there that the issues have been eliminated since the Jim Crow era?
The ANALYSIS in this paper occurs when you make connections between the past and the present by analyzing the present (give examples and explain how the examples prove that progress has or has not been made (or maybe both!)) in comparison or in contrast to the past.
