Purpose
This assignment is intended to do two things. First, it will help you connect your own career interests to the content you will learn in this course. Second, it will set the standards for written work you will do in this course.

Grading
? 50% content?displayed an understanding of data analytics, how it is used in your career path, and take-away?s relevant to you.
? 50% writing?applying format effectively (memo, font & spacing, headings, bullet use), grammar and spelling; correct APA citation and references; concise sentences and paragraphs.

Content
Write an essay discussing how data analytics is used in your chosen career path. Requirements:
1. What is your chosen career path and, briefly, why are you interested in that path?
2. Discuss what you learned from the Business Analytics article that applies to your career.
3. Discuss what you learned from at least one more source?an article or an interview.
a. A researched article would be about the use of analytics in your career path. (Some Key Words: data analytics, business analytics, business intelligence, dashboard)
b. A person you interviewed would be someone you know who works with information systems & data in your chosen career field. This is a great opportunity to interview your parent or sister, your boss or friend, or a fried of a friend even, etc. who works in that career field. You will find most people who are professionals or managers in a field use systems and data in parts of their job.
4. In conclusion, based on the essay, what are your 2-3 “take-aways”– things you need to learn.
