Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne founded Apple on April 1st, 1976 selling the Apple I personal computer kit, a computer which was single handedly designed and built by Wozniak. The kits were hand-built out of wood and were first shown to the public at the Homebrew Computer Club; an early hobbyist group in Silicon Valley, California. The Apple I went on sale in July 1976 and was first priced at $666.66 or $2,763 in 2014 dollars due to inflation.
