Communication Project Research Paper and Presentation

At the end of the quarter, at the time appointed, you will turn in a 3-5 page research paper that explores your project findings and research conclusions. This will also be accompanied by a 2-4 minute oral presentation of your findings that you will share with your classmates.

Your Research Paper should include the following:
1. A clear summary/explanation about what you have learned about your topic, and how you can apply this to your personal life.
a. What are the answers to your research questions/concerns?
b. How can the newly discovered information benefit you?
c. How does the research you’ve done contribute to the understanding of your topic?
2. Information on how this information could benefit others, and how they can incorporate the new advice.
a. Offer at least three pieces of advice in the area of your topic that others could use with the same question(s)/concerns as you.
3. A separate work cited page with at least four relevant sources used for your research.

This research paper should be 3-5 pages in length, typed, double spaced, in 12pt Times New Roman font, with 1 inch margins, in APA format, edited and proofread for grammar.

Your Oral Presentation should include:
1. Some sort of presentation aid like a PowerPoint or Prezi presentation, handouts for the class, display board, etc.
2. A brief explanation of your topic/research question(s), your findings/conclusions, their importance, and any advice you can offer in your area of research.

This presentation should be 2-4 minutes in length. The more interactive you are with the audience the better; meaning create a presentation that is creative, easy to follow, helpful, organized, and well prepared.
