Instructions for Completing Case Study Answers
1. Use the same case study selected in module 2.
2. Answer the questions.
3. Format for the answers:
• _Content must clearly answer the questions. If not clearly addressed, no points will be
earned. Provide examples, rationale, and/or explanations to support your conclusions as
appropriate.
• _Use section/paragraph headings, i.e. Specific Nursing Intervention, Outcome Evaluation;
paper should be no more than 2 double-spaced pages.

Outcome Evaluation
___ Identifies two outcomes related to nursing diagnosis in measurable terms (2 points);
___ Explains who, when and how these outcomes will be evaluated. (4 points).

Nursing diagnosis #1
1- Risk for Caregiver Role Strain
-Maria is the one with a stable job and she knows that if she looses her job the whole family
will be affected.
-Maria is the primary caregiver when Peter is the hospital she is constantly visits with him.
-Maria is also in distress to see how her 8 year old daughter is acting up and refusing to and
visit her twin brother when he is in the hospital. Maria as a mother knows her 8-year old
daughter is in emotional distress.

2- Disable Family Coping
-Katy is having difficulty coping with her brother’s diagnosis and that most of
the attention goes to the sick child.
