This paper will provide you an opportunity to apply ideas from the course to your own work challenges. Choose some situation in which you need of have needed to influence others, whether that is at work or even with your family or friend(s). Set the context for your paper by describing the situation and the key people involved, the issues, what you need to influence others to do (or not do) or to change, the costs of their not doing/not changing, and the reasons you think the issue/changes are important. You might also want to touch briefly on why the issue has not already been solved or a change made. Then drawing on the influence and leadership concepts we have explored during the course, develop an influence plan for convincing the people who need to be convinced. Be specific about the types of information you would provide and why you think that information is critical.
Describe your own leadership style, strengths and weaknesses as well as the styles and the influence strategies you would use. Include examples of critical scripts you would use to discuss the issues/changes. Include recommendations on three supplementary journal articles researched with an explanation on why you think the particular articles apply to your situation.
Pay careful attention to documentation issues, such as enclosing any borrowed language in quotation marks, crediting outside sources for any ideas you borrow (whether quoted or not), and providing a list of references. Use APA (American Psychological Association) style documentation guidelines (https://www.apastyle.org) is one of many sources online that is helpful

Introduction (5 pts):
Description of a situation where there is a need to influence others. Include key people involved, issues, what you need to influence others to either to do/not do/change, costs of not changing and reasons the issues/changes are important, and why the issues haven?t been solved or changes made. (15 pts):
Influence plan provided and includes influence and leadership concepts applicable to the situation. Specific types of information to be communicated and why information is important are discussed. (15 pts):
