1- Swab: A 35 years old women complained of an ear ache upon return from long weekend away from her home. The patient had traveled to New Hampshire to resort that had a hot tub that the patient uses frequently. A culture from her ear was taken for analysis.
2- The bacteria I used for gram stain and the result was gram positive and then catalase and the result were negative which means streptococcus spp. Or Enterococcus spp. Inoculated the bacteria in starch hydrolysis and the result showed negative, and then I did mannitol agar and again no growth which means those bacteria s. pyogenes or s. pneumoniae.
3- The last result for blood agar that I did was hemolysis and I got the beta-s. pyogenes.

6- The method I did gram staining, catalase, starch hydrolysis , 6.5% NA CL and hemolysis.
