Address energy balance, that is, projected change in body weight. What changes in caloric intake and/or physical activity are recommended to stabilize body weight (maintain weight) while also achieving adequate nutrient intake?

Address distribution of calories. What adjustments in carbohydrates, proteins, or fat intake are needed to achieve the recommended distribution of calories? Make sure recommendations align with achieving stable body weight.

Address fat intake. Are more or fewer fat calories needed to achieve stable body weight? Does cholesterol   intake meet recommendations? What adjustments in mono, poly, and saturated fats are needed to achieve a good distribution of fat calories? Discuss specific changes in foods in the diet that would achieve recommendations. Briefly discuss foods that could be reduced to lower cholesterol intake.

Address the health benefits of your nutrient intake. Examine the nutrients listed on the next page. For each nutrient supplied in adequate amounts, identify specific food or foods that supplied it. Discuss the health benefits of these nutrients.

Address health risks of your nutrient intake. Examine the nutrients listed on the next page. For each deficient nutrient, discuss the health risks of ongoing deficiency. Identify specific foods that could realistically be added to correct the deficiency. Discuss the health benefits of ensuring these nutrients are supplied at adequate levels.

Conclude your analysis paper by summarizing the major findings. Comment on what you found to be pleasantly—or alarmingly—surprising, if anything.
