IB – W4 GLOBAL BUSINESS CULTURAL ANALYSIS ON ISRAEL – ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY INSTRUCTIONS

Order Description
The annotated bibliography for the Global Business Cultural Analysis must consist of a minimum of 30 reputable, professional, scholarly journals and/or informational venues that deal with the content of the course (i.e., not blogs, Wikipedia, newspapers, etc.), be in current APA 6th edition format, and contain persistent links so others may have instant access. Include a proper title page.

Scholarly Journals – What are they?
Scholarly journals (also called “professional” or “peer reviewed” journals) are a type of periodical. Other types of periodicals are magazines and newspapers.
Most online databases contain a limiter you can select so results only show certain types of journals. For best results, select “Journal Article” in the “Document Type” limiter (if it is available), as well as the “Peer Reviewed”* limiter.
*Items such as “letters to the editor,” book reviews, etc., are not peer reviewed, although they are found in peer reviewed journals.

Characteristics of Scholarly Journals
• Articles report on original research or experiments (as opposed to news or opinion pieces).
• Articles written by a scholar/author who has done research in a particular field or discipline.
• Language is technical and specialized.
• Sources cited in the form of footnotes or bibliographies.
• Often published by universities or professional societies.

The annotations are designed to help your classmates better understand and more easily learn about your topic. The annotation is not a normal required component of APA; rather, it is a specific additional requirement for this assignment. Note the following regarding your annotated bibliography:

• An annotated bibliography is a list of the journals and resources you used.
• Each citation is followed by a brief (a minimum of 150 words), descriptive, and evaluative paragraph—the annotation.
• The purpose of the annotation is to inform the reader of the relevance, accuracy, and quality of the sources cited.
• For more information on annotations, go to https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/614/01/

The topic of the paper is as follows:

the business differences between the U.S. and Israel. In addition, I am curious about the answers to the following questions (which are in alignment with the four research questions) as they pertain to Israel:

• What are the major elements and dimensions of culture in this region?
• How are these elements and dimensions integrated by locals conducting business in the nation?
• How do both of the above items compare with US culture and business?
• What are the implications for US businesses that wish to conduct business in that region?

Do not cut and paste from your sources, as this constitutes plagiarism. In addition, the paper must meet the following:

• The annotated bibliography contains a title page in current APA format.

• A minimum requirement of 30 reputable professional and/or scholarly journals and/or informational venues that deal with the content of the course (i.e., not blogs, Wikipedia, newspapers, etc.) is met.

• All annotations satisfy the minimum 150-word descriptive and evaluative paragraph.

• All citations are listed in current APA 6th edition format and contain persistent links.
