remember it is a production paper, not play review, so focus more on scenic, theater design and how you think of this play performance. Below is what I gather from
watching the play:
The background setting is all black. And it uses the little wooden horse to represent Trojan or some kind of curse to kill the king (using red wine spread on white
sheet covers the little wooden horse). Music (Violin, drums, guitar) takes huge part for this play (mostly Romanian songs). You can check out more information on
Director’s note. The customs primarily use only black and white. Most actors wears black which represent Orestes side, Clytemnestra and Aegisthus(her lover) and
Chrysothemis wears white. (Chrysothemis was a daughter of Agamemnon and Clytemnestra. Unlike her sister, Electra, Chrysothemis did not protest or enact vengeance
against their mother for having an affair with Aegisthus and then killing their father.)
