As consultants for Golden Eagle Inc. your specialty is reviving dying brands that are rapidly losing their consumer appeal. Your team of two or three will identify a brand currently on the decline that either markets physical goods (e.g., Budweiser), services (e.g., Yahoo) or a combination of physical goods and services (e.g., Dunkin Donuts). Your learning from the course, along with your creativity and problem-solving skills are needed to recommend a course of action and solve this problem. The written report should be 6-8 pages in length, double-spaced, with one-inch margins all around, times roman font, and a font size of 12. If you have other supplementary materials (such as tables, figures, screenshots), you can present them in appendices that are not included in the page limit, but their contribution to the report should be integrated within the main text. Your project should address the following: 1. Problem definition: What problem are you trying to solve? Why is it an important challenge facing the company? 2. Situation analysis: In this section, you will analyze the context of the problem utilizing the four Ps. Product/services: What are the main product and service offerings of the brand? Are the current products/services contributing to the decline of this brand (justify your position)? Pricing: What is the current dominant pricing strategy used? How does this compare to competitors? Is this contributing to the decline of the brand (justify your position)? Promotion: Which customer segments are currently targeted? How is this brand positioned? Is the organization effectively communicating its message to the right audience? Is this contributing to the decline of the brand (justify your position)? Place: Can the consumer effectively access the product/service?Explain in detail how the consumer typically accesses the product/service. Is this contributing to the decline of the brand (justify your position)? 3. Recommendations:In this section, you will suggest specific actions the company can take to address the problem. Your recommendations need to address the four Ps. Product/services: Which (if any) products/services should be removed from the portfolio? Should the company add any new products and/or services? Justify your answers. Pricing: What should the dominant pricing strategy be? Its okay if you do not think it needs to be changed, but be sure to justify your reason for leaving it as is. Promotion: Which customer segments should be targeted? How should this brand be positioned? How can the organization effectively communicate its message to the right audience? Promotional material: Create a compelling promotion for this brand- it could be a print ad, video, TV ad, radio spot, social media campaign, blog, etc. Rebranding: Create a new logo for your brand. Explain the logic behind the redesign.Compare and contrast your new logo with the old logo. Place: How can the way in which the consumer accesses the product/service be improved upon? Your project should contain two marketing research methods by which you collect the necessary information to solve the managerial problem (e.g., interviews, focus groups, observational research, survey questionnaires). It would be ideal if you could use marketing research to provide further insights into the problem as well as using it to justify some of your recommendations
