Homework Assignment #2 Machining Step by Step Exercise

1. Develop a Process Plan (see below example of a process plan) to make the part pictured above in Figure 1. Material is 6061-t6 aluminum
2. List each operation in the order you would machine it alone with the type of machine tool and the tooling you will use and an estimate of the time it will take.  (Assume a tolerance of +- .001 for all operations.)

3. Draw and reference each operation and each setup starting from a blank piece of metal to finished part.  Show the holding device along with tool used for each operation.

Note. This report needs to clearly show how you would make this part. Sketches must be done very neatly and organized.
