history and romance in Korea literature ad films

This course examines the history and romance in Korean literature and films and correlations between representation of love and major historical, political, and cultural events or shifts throughout the 20th and early 21st centuries. Hence you may conduct a purely formal or content-based analysis (or both); or your paper may in some way address the relationship of literature or film(s) to its socio-political and cultural context;
or it may be a combination of the two. You are free to explore topics of your choice, but all topics and topic changes must be approved by the instructor.
