Each year, an increasing percentage ofthe nation’s population migrates to urban centers where major disasters are likely to occur. Due to the availability of commerce, cities tend to be built in areas where an earthquake can happen. Provide two examples of areas where earthquakes are more common, and discuss the impact that this type of natural disaster has had on these areas.
