Dickens’ is recognized a great novelist of character and for a relatively short book it has a large cast of memorable figures.Your job will be to look closely at Sissy Jupe with an eye toward an essay answering these questions: 1) Who is the character and how has Dickens’ presented her? 2) What does this character contribute to the meaning of the novel?
