Attend a governmental meeting (or use Youtube) to witness government in action. Such meetings include city council meetings, legislative committee meetings, zoning hearings, licensing board meetings, etc. This meeting MUST be a meeting open to the public, not an in-house agency meeting.
Prepare a 550+ word paper detailing the experience of witnessing government in action. Do not just chronologically describe the meeting. Include details such as the number and type of people who were in attendance, observations about the conduct of those running the meeting, observations about particularly interesting agenda items, and observations made about the process in general, etc.
